How about THIS for van life in Malta?! 🇲🇹☀️🚐

Spotted this little collection of motorhomes and caravans parked up literally metres from the Mediterranean 🌊

No manic Monday mornings, no scraping ice off the windscreen, no rushing around… just open the door, sea view, coffee on and decide what beach you’re visiting today 😂☕️🏖️

I reckon I could quite happily get used to this lifestyle! 😎

Although looking at some of those vans, the KamperBitz toolkit might have to come with me… 🔧😂

The tools are down, the diary is shut and KamperBitz is officially CLOSED for annual leave! 🍹🏝️

THIS is why we love customer feedback! 😎❄️🔥

Remember the Teleco Ultra Comfort install we recently completed on this stunning campervan?

Well, the owners are currently putting it properly through its paces in Chamonix, Mont Blanc 🏔️🚐🇫🇷

With the temperatures up, we asked the important question…

“Was the AC worth the investment?”

Their response says it all 👇

“It’s been getting battered mate… worth every penny! 🤣👌🏻”

And then, after the weather turned and the temperature dropped overnight, we received another update…

“The Teleco unit works just as well as a heater as it does as aircon – an awesome piece of kit! 👌🏻”

That’s about as good a real-world test as you can get! 🙌

Wednesday was another busy one for the KamperBitz team! 🚐🔧

First up, we were in Ellesmere Port for the annual service on a Swift Celebration.

A full service and inspection carried out and we’re pleased to say it received a clean bill of health ✅😎
Everything checked over, service completed and the online service records updated ready for another year of touring 👍

Then it was over to Greasby to take care of a newly purchased Coachman Laser 🚐

The new owners wanted to start their ownership knowing everything was properly checked and up to date, so we carried out:

🔧 Full annual service
🔥 Alde heating fluid change
✅ Full safety and operation checks

And another clean sheet! 👌

It’s always a good feeling buying a new-to-you caravan, but even better when you’ve had it professionally checked over and know it’s ready to get out and enjoy! 😎

Another busy day through the doors at KamperBitz HQ yesterday! 🔧🚐❄️

A nice mix of diagnostics, repairs and upgrades keeping us busy…

🔧 Thetford N4000 fridge diagnostics & repair
This one came in with fridge issues and, after getting stuck into the diagnostics, we found the main PCB was severely corroded 😬
A new PCB, control panel and patch loom were installed before carrying out a full operation test — all back up and running as it should 😎✅

☀️ Rollerteam Granduca – new Fiamma awning
Next up was a Rollerteam Granduca needing its old awning replacing.
The tired unit came off and a brand new Fiamma F45 4.5m went back in its place — neatly installed, aligned and ready for plenty more trips away 😎👌

⚙️ Swift motorhome – faulty Thule step
This one came in with a step that had decided it wasn’t playing anymore! After testing and tracing the fault, we narrowed it down to a failed motor.
The owners have opted to replace the complete step rather than repair the old unit, so it’s now booked back in for fitting when we return from our holiday, along with a few other repairs 👍

❄️ Andy’s lovely VW Caddy – AC repair
And finally, Andy’s cracking Caddy was in for an air-conditioning leak repair and regas. Leak sorted, system regassed and the AC is back doing what it should — blowing nice and cold! 🥶❄️

Plenty of variety in one day and exactly the sort of work we love getting stuck into! 🙌

Another motorhome getting a little KamperBitz attention this week 😎🔧

We had Mal’s newly purchased Benimar in with us for a few minor jobs and checks to make sure everything was working as it should before getting out and enjoying it 👍

Sometimes it’s not about the big installations — sorting those little niggles and checking everything over can make all the difference when you’ve just bought a new-to-you motorhome!

On the list:

🔐 Thule security handle installed — a simple upgrade adding extra security and also providing a handy grab handle when entering the motorhome.

📡 Aerial cable repaired — traced the issue, repaired the cable and got everything back up and running.

🔥 Truma diagnostics — diagnostic check carried out to make sure the heating/hot water system was behaving itself.

🔋 Starter & leisure batteries checked — both tested to assess their condition and make sure the electrical system was ready for upcoming trips.

☀️ Solar system checked — confirmed the solar setup was operating and charging correctly.

✅ Thule security handle installation
✅ Aerial cable repair
✅ Truma diagnostics
✅ Starter & leisure battery condition checks
✅ Solar operation check

Nothing too dramatic, but five more jobs ticked off the list and another motorhome ready for its adventures! 😎🚐

We had Peter’s absolutely stunning Autotrail Adventure 65 in with us, and like a lot of pop-top motorhome owners, he thought having air conditioning simply wasn’t an option…

No roof space? Pop-top roof? No problem! 😏

That’s exactly where the superb Teleco Ultra Comfort 8000 comes into its own 🙌

Rather than mounting a bulky AC unit on the roof, the main components are discreetly installed behind the front bumper, meaning you can still enjoy proper air conditioning without sacrificing your pop-top, solar panels or adding extra height to the vehicle. ❄️😎

That’s it… the workshop doors are now closed for a well-earned family break! 😎🏖️

We’ll be away until 17th August, taking some time to recharge before returning ready to tackle another busy season of campervan, caravan and motorhome repairs, servicing and upgrades. 🔧🚐
