Well this one was a strange one.

Loss of coolant on this Land rover Discovery.

The water pump has left the chat holy smokes 🤣

Water pump has snapped all 3 mounting bolts in the engine block so they had to be drilled out.

New waterpump and timing belt kit fitted.

Now running smoothly again 👍

Off for the next week for a well deserved break, thank you to all my customers for custom, always appreciated. Will be replying back to messages when back from the holiday end of next week.

Something a little different today. This vehicle had been to 2 other garages and no faults were found on either occasion.

The wipers were going on and off without anyone in the car and when the unlock button on the key was pressed they would cut out. Immediately I thought of wires rubbing together or water ingress.

Vehicle diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours.

Corroded wiper wiring loom.

Ford transit overheating issues, stuck thermostat, resolved by fitting new uprated housing

Ford in for a alternator and battery

Audi A1 in for rear brakes, these were really past their sell by date

Think I need to start playing the lottery.

Cylinder 1 injector on this 2.0 vivaro with the m9r engine

Severe carbon deposit around the top of injector meant that this was going to be no easy task to remove.

Many hours later, and in one piece injector came out

Quick clean of bore and seat and rebuild

Good as new

Soon as everyone is jumping on these thought I might do one too. 🤣🤣

Hello all 🖐️

Hope everyone had a good time during the festives.

Kicking the new year off with a little reel off most recent jobs carried out, I really need to start taking more photos and keeping the page updated.

Hi folks

Just a quick update.

For those of who know me I am a very laid back person when it comes to invoices, I don't chase I give everyone a chance to pay up.

If you can't afford to get your car fixed don't. But don't expect me to do the work and then wait 5 months for payment, which still hasn't been paid...

I don't want to be doing this but going forward from January I will be taking a deposit before starting any work on customers vehicles.

Am not just doing the deposit scheme because of unpaid invoices. I am sick of customers cancelling last minute because they forgot and it doesn't leave me enough time to move forward jobs in the diary.
It's rude and it's unsustainable for a small business.

Thanks for reading and hope you understand.
I look forward to seeing all my regulars and new customers in the new year.
