Busy week this week, felt like a lot of running around sorting bits rather than actually spannering.. 🏃‍♂️

Couple of full services, brakes, abs sensors, suspension arms, leaky injectors, diagnosing faults, MOT repairs, a whirlwind of a week so far!

Praise be that it’s Bank holiday this weekend and the weathers looking good! Hope everyone has a good one 🌞

Had a busy but not too busy past couple of weeks, im still here! 👋 just keep forgetting to take pictures of the work I’ve been doing!

Here’s something I did manage to remember, a diagnostic on a Mercedes A class, EML light illuminated and kept going into limp mode. Managed to find the fault which was a valve actuator within the exhaust burnt out.

I have a few spaces available next week, so if your car needs work don’t hesitate to get in touch😁

Cupra bronze calipers painted on a Dacia Bigster.

What a transformation🤩.

Had to use a different supplier for this colour as my original one wasn’t able to get the bronze we wanted. I was a bit skeptical at first, the paint seemed really watery and didn’t seem to take to the metal as well as normal. After 4 or 5 thin coats we managed to get these finished results!

Very happy with how they turned out😁

Golf rear suspension arms, a job I’ve been regretting to do since getting booked in.

These rear arms have an inner camber bolts which allow you to adjust the camber of the rear wheels. 9/10 these are a nightmare to remove, the aluminium centre of the bushing corrodes to the steel bolt making it impossible to undo with a ratchet and spanner.

Fortunately, only one of the arms was totally seized for me! I recently purchased a grinder and it came in handy for the other side🤩

I also recommended the customer to replace the rear springs due to heavy corroding. For the sake of a few extra pounds in parts and no extra labour it seemed like a no brainer. The customer agreed and we carried out the work.

Back on the road within a few hours driving mint🥳

Front and rear brakes replaced on a VW Golf.

These were actually advised on the customers MOT but as you can see the discs were quite pitted.

When things like brakes are advised on an MOT test I’d always advise getting them replaced. It’s the last thing you’d want to fail you when out on the road!

New wheel bearing, drop link and track rod end rubber boot on a 14 plate Tiguan.

This car was initially booked in for an ABS investigation, diagnostic scanner read ABS sensor front left. Immediately we changed the sensor, due to it being cheaper and easier to replace. Unfortunately on this occasion it was actually the wheel bearing at fault. Whilst replacing the wheel bearing, the drop link actually snapped and I noticed the rubber on the track rod end had snapped.

Advised the customer of further replacements and got them all sorted and back on the road😀

First caliper painting job of the new year.

Brembo Racing red on a Jaguar F pace - of course it was red👀

A bit of a tedious job this one, due to how cold it was the paint didn’t dry as well as it normally should between coats, it took quite a while in comparison to doing them in summer. Still got them looking mint though🤌🏼
