✨The Linwater Weekly Update ✨

This week the team have been busy getting the park ready for winter this week, while also tackling the tidy up from the storms! 🍂

Jeff has been clearing up the drains while Laura has been tidying up the leaves. We have also made a start on our winter bedding plants! 🌱

So if you see some of our pots looking a wee bit bare just now, don't worry! Give them a few weeks and they will be bursting with colour. 🌷

It is with heavy hearts that we share some sad news from Linwater ❤️

Our much loved cockerel Kevin has sadly passed away on Tuesday.

Many of you will remember Kevin from your visits to the park. He was a big character, always keeping an eye on things alongside his favourite companion, Mavis. Together, they became a familiar sight here at Linwater, bringing smiles to so many guests.

Since losing Mavis in July, it feels especially sad to now say goodbye to Kevin too. They were such a lovely pair, and it won’t be quite the same without him strutting about the park.

He’ll be greatly missed by all of us here at Linwater, and by everyone who got to know him during their visits.

Sleep peacefully, Kevin. 🌈🐓

We have also included some information on getting to Murrayfield from Linwater Caravan Park below 👇

🚊 Tram: Drive around 4 miles to Ingliston Park & Ride, where you can park your motorhome or campervan and take the tram directly to Murrayfield Stadium.

🚌 Bus: Catch the X27 from Calderwood towards Edinburgh. From the city, you can connect to local buses (number12,26 or 31) towards Murrayfield. Allow extra time during busy periods.

🚲 Bike: Follow the Union Canal towpath towards Edinburgh, then continue towards Murrayfield using local cycle routes.

We recommend checking the latest public transport timetables before travelling, especially on event days.
