Are electric cars actually cheaper to maintain than petrol?

Henry's honest answer - yes, day to day running costs are lower. Fewer moving parts, less servicing, cheaper to fuel.

But there's a catch most people don't think about. If the battery goes, the replacement cost is significantly higher than swapping out a petrol engine. It's not a reason to avoid EVs - but it's absolutely something to factor into your decision.

A moment to step away from the workshop and share something special today!

Charlie Parish - the filmmaker who has been behind our camera and content this year - has grown his hair for six years and donated 18 inches to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that turns donated hair into wigs for children who have lost theirs during cancer treatment.

He's raised £500 of his £700 target and just needs £200 more to cover the full cost of the wig being made and gifted to a little girl.

Myth or fact: You need to do a service every year, if you haven't done the miles...?

Fact - and Danny explains exactly why.

Short journeys all year round build up condensation inside your engine. Over time that moisture gets into the oil and breaks it down. The oil is what keeps everything lubricated and protected - and once it's compromised, so is your engine.

Miles on the clock don't tell the whole story. Time does.

Do you actually know what every warning light on your dashboard means?

Danny does - and in this one he walks through all of them. He switches on the ignition, runs through each light as it appears and explains exactly what it's telling you and what to do about it.

Some you can monitor. Some need attention soon. And one in particular - means bring it in sooner rather than later.

We put the big question to Danny - are automatic gearboxes less reliable than manual?

His answer won't give you a simple yes or no. Modern automatics have have some weaknesses - but regardless of age, when they do go wrong, it's not a cheap fix. Manuals have their own costs too, clutches being the main one, but they'll always be Danny's preference.

It depends on the car, the driver and how well it's been maintained. As always with Danny - straight talking, no nonsense advice.
