🚗✨ 9 YEARS AGO TODAY ✨🚗

Today marks 9 years since I passed my driving test! 🥹👵🏻

I can still remember that feeling when the examiner told me I’d passed — the excitement, the relief, the pride… and that terrifying “I can actually drive on my own now!” feeling! 😂

And the best part? 9 years later, I get to experience that same feeling all over again through my students. ❤️

Watching the nerves, hard work and determination turn into that massive smile when they hear those words — “You’ve passed!” — never gets old.
I remember exactly how it felt to be the person sitting in that driver’s seat, and I feel so lucky that I now get to help others experience that moment too.

Here’s me 9 years ago… 👀😂

This one is bittersweet again as I'm really going to miss our lessons. You're a little firecracker Jodie, you worked hard, you've listened, we laughed (so much), and we cried (damn right turns lol 😆).
I have no doubt that you will achieve amazing things. ✈️

Stay Alert, Stay Safe: Let’s Look Out for Each Other 🚗🏍️🚲

The sun is shining, the days are getting warmer, and it’s wonderful to see more motorcyclists and cyclists back out on the road. But as our roads get busier, it’s a timely reminder that we all share a collective responsibility to protect those who are most vulnerable. 💪🏻

Remember, every person on two wheels is someone’s son, daughter, parent, or partner. They aren’t just "obstacles" in your way—they are human beings with families waiting for them at home. Everyone deserves to get back to their loved ones safely at the end of the day

A few simple reminders to keep everyone safe:

Check and Double-Check: Always check your mirrors and blind spots. A quick "Life-Saver" glance can make all the difference.

Give Plenty of Space: When overtaking, ensure you give cyclists and motorcyclists at least as much room as you would a car.

Patience is Key: Only overtake when it is absolutely safe to do so. A few seconds' delay is a small price to pay for someone's safety.

Expect the Unexpected: Be mindful at junctions and roundabouts—where many accidents involving vulnerable road users occur.

Let’s lead by example and make our roads a kinder, safer place for everyone. 🥰 Safe driving!

There’s been a lot of talk about new rules for 2026. As your instructor, I want to make sure you have the facts straight from the DVSA ☺️

1️⃣ The "Bot" Crackdown 🛑
From Spring 2026, the DVSA is stopping third parties and instructors from booking tests. This is to stop people from "hoarding" and reselling test slots. You will be in charge of your booking.

2️⃣ Think Before You Reschedule ⏳
Right now, you can move your test multiple times. From the 31st of March 2026, you get 2 changes only. This includes changing the time, date, or even swapping with a friend. Use them wisely!

3️⃣ First Aid is Coming to the Theory Test 🚑
Expect new questions on life-saving skills like CPR. It’s all about making the roads safer for everyone.

4️⃣ The 6-Month Wait? (Under Consultation) 🧐
The government is looking into a "Minimum Learning Period." This could mean you must wait 6 months after passing your theory before taking your practical. This is NOT law yet, but stay tuned!
