Still on the fence about going to our NSI on the 24th of September?
We think you should go, but don't just take it from us, check out some reviews from some of the skaters who went to our last NSI!

The New Skater Intake programme at Dorset Roller Derby was incredible! Not only did it help boost my confidence skating and prepared me for the wonderful world of roller derby - but all the members of the team have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, always there to offer advice when needed!

I had such a great time doing the DRD NSI program. Quads are not my skates of choice, but I came along at the suggestion of a friend, knowing that it's a very q***r friendly sport and could be a great way to improve my skating.

It was a really welcoming experience despite being a little bit daunting at first, but the instructor's were all so knowledgeable and supportive, and I've definitely seen huge improvement in my skating since I started last year. I wasn't expecting i'd make such good friends with the other new skaters on the program, and it's been great getting to feel part of a community of such lovely and passionate people whilst learning about and playing such a fun, challenging and unique sport.

I'd definitely recommend coming along and giving it a try regardless of your skating skill level, it's been a hugely rewarding experience!

Our skaters, AlexIsOnFire, Cherry (mic) Drop Ya, and SmashyBoiii, are heading off into the wild again. This time to WFTDA Champs in Malmö!
Cherry and Smash are announcing and Alex will be producing! We can’t wait to catch you guys on stream!

On Sunday we had a blast at Christchurch Carnival ! We loved being a part of the parade and got to display our derby skills to the public!
A big thanks to Christchurch Carnival for having us for another year, it's great to be involved in such an exciting event!

Guess where we will be again this Sunday? ...That's right! We'll be skating through the streets of Christchurch again in the Christchurch Carnival Parade!

We’re currently on our summer break, but on Sunday our team enjoyed 3 hours of UNLIMITED bowling! We destroyed the pins and got up to many hijinks along the way!
Beforehand some of our rookies also enjoyed a romp around the Velodrome

2 weeks ago our skaters, Boomstick, Jeddar Gorge, Peggy Peril, Talking Smack, and Wild Child, headed off to Eastbourne Extreme: Roller Derby ! We had an amazing time playing in great games with skaters from all over the Uk, and some even from overseas!
A big shout out to Peggy and Smacks who were a part of the committee that worked to put Eastbourne together.
Also a congratulations to Boomstick and Wild Child who both won MVP in their games!

Check out our very own Talking Smack being interviewed about Eastbourne Extreme.
He and Peggy Peril were a part of the committee that worked to put Eastbourne Extreme together. Without their hard work and dedication, this event wouldn't have been the amazing weekend that it was!
We are so proud of our skaters!

A big congrats to one of our rookies, Bruise Goose!

She has earned her black shirt and will be moving up to skate with league full time! We can’t wait to see how she continues to flourish and grow as a skater!
