Porsche 911 Carrera 4s Cabriolet:
After customer collected this Porsche back from a local bodyshop to this absolute joke of workmanship it was handed to me to bring it back to better than when it left the factory in germany.
I carried out a full inspection report and its pages and pages long so only going to list about 8 or so as nobody wants to read a essay:
Primer and red paint sprayed inside the arch linings,
Front bumper was removed for paint but they didnt think of fitting new plastic rivets upon re-fitting,
Filler cracks showing already,
Every panel they have worked on is something out of a rattle can,
Sandpaper marks, filler showing from paint sunk into it,
Customer wanted gloss to match the rest of the porsche not matte.
Lacquer fade out poor attempts the list goes on....
45 hours labour went into this!
Working early and finishing at crazy late, didnt have much choice with the amount of extras I had to fix, it was like opening a can of worms. 🪱
I brought this Porsche back to life and looks better than ever but this was a HUGE challenge, had to wet and dry sand all the panels they sprayed just to get to some kind of standard then working through until midnight on two of the days correcting everything and replacing all the fixings etc.
After Paint Correction all my hard work was sealed in with our Lick Slick 5 year ceramic coating given that slick look for years to come if maintained correctly using my care guide manual given to customer.
Brembo calipers Restored and sprayed gloss yellow and porsche decals under the lacquer.
Wheels removed, cleaned/degreased and ceramic coated.
Roof was deep cleaned and ceramic coated also using an exterior fabric version.
Pictures speak for themselves and not many detailers could pull this one off it was an absolute mess and working on the lacquer limits from the crap bodyshop lacquer faults,
One happy customer and so was i when it left me as 45 hours was just way too much in 3 days when already fully booked up but was a pleasure to help.
More frustrating then anything rectifying others lame work.
