🔧⚓ Another job completed by Solent Marine Services⚓🔧

This boat came to us with a Volvo Penta KAD32 suffering from low oil pressure.

We stripped the engine down, carried out a full refresh, and got everything back together and running as it should. The engine is now back in the boat and holding great oil pressure. ✅

While we had the boat with us, the second KAD32 also received a full engine and drive service, making sure both engines are ready for the owner

Everything is now back where it belongs, running well and ready to get back on the water! 🚤🌊

Blast from the past Race boat engines had turned into a salt water pump after mustering in rough it took a few waves into the open exhausts.
Engines where removed and decided they had to much damage to to economically repair. So 2 new 5.7 long blocks ordered. And everything salvageable from the old engines removed. Cleaned and fitted. There was a discussion with the owner of painting the engines to protect them.
And pink was mentioned to match the parts of the boat. Why not ! 🎀😆
To stop help this problem have added 3 inch high riser manifolds. And exhaust flaps.

Marine Engineer Wanted – Join the Solent Marine Services Team

Solent Marine Services is looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join our busy and friendly team.

The role involves working on a wide range of marine engines and systems, including:

* Diesel and petrol engines
* Marine drives and transmissions
* Fault finding and diagnostics
* Engine rebuilds and general marine engineering

You’ll also be expected to assist in our busy boatyard with launching, moving, lifting, and blocking off boats as required.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has previous marine engineering experience
* Can work confidently on their own and as part of a team
* Has strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
