To all my customers, old and new. Merry Christmas!! I hope you all have a brilliant festive season with your friends and family. Thankyou for all your continued support and custom. I am now closed until January 5th for a welcome break and some family time. Look forward to seeing you all in 2026, refreshed and ready to go again!

A time consuming yet rewarding job...

2011 Renault scenic came to the shop in limp mode and a whole array of warning lights on. Dpf filter is fully clogged due to a glow plug fault. Plugs tested and all okay, turns out the control module was at fault. Module replaced, dpf manually cleaned aswell as exhaust gas back pressure sensor feed pipe. Engine oil and filter replaced due to dilution of diesel from failed regen attempts. After all faults were cleared, static regen conducted in the workshop and soot content down from almost 50g to 4g. Long test drive afterwards and she is good as new, no limp mode, no lights and a happy customer!

Something a little different. A friend of mine asked me to recondition some tired looking brake calipers off his kawasaki sport bike. With alot of prep work and a full internal rebuild kit I'm sure we would do a nice job. Full shot blasted and repainted, internals replaced and reassembled, I'd say they look like new!

A customer in need! A lovely Audi A3 was recovered to the garage with a broken crankshaft pulley! All 4 bolts snapped off leaving the remainder in the timing gear wheel. We managed to extract all 4 bolts and retap a thread to refit the pulley with no need to disturb the timing having to remove the Cambelt, car back to customer in a handful of hours. Another challenging repair but another happy customer. For repairs, diagnostic and most other garage services, get in touch today.

This week at RS Motors, a lovely example of a mk5 Volkswagen Golf gti with a bit of an overheating issue. Diagnosed as failing thermostat housing, an awkward repair but nonetheless completed and pressure tested afterwards to confirm she is water tight.
