🚨 Learner drivers NEED to know this 🚨

When you hear sirens, don’t panic.

Your job is NOT to rush.
Your job is to stay calm, aware and make safe decisions 👏

In this clip, we safely pulled in for an emergency vehicle by:
✔️ checking mirrors
✔️ slowing down gradually
✔️ looking for a safe place to stop
✔️ avoiding blocking junctions or crossings

Remember… emergency vehicles expect you to be PREDICTABLE, not perfect.

This is exactly why observation and planning are so important when learning to drive 🚗💨

Bad driving lessons happen… and they do NOT mean you’re going to fail your test 🚗✨

One difficult lesson can make learners question everything:
“Am I ready?”
“What if I mess up on test day?”
“Why can’t I get this right?”

But here’s the truth 👇

Some of the best drivers I’ve taught have had lessons where nothing seemed to click.
Wrong lanes. Missed mirrors. Stalls. Tears. Frustration.

And then they’ve gone on to PASS.

A bad lesson usually means one thing… your brain is overloaded because you’re LEARNING. 🧠

Driving isn’t about being perfect every lesson.
It’s about learning how to recover safely, stay calm and keep going.

So if today’s lesson felt rubbish:
• Reset.
• Reflect.
• Rest.
• Go again next time.

You are probably doing better than you think 💛

Safe driving for life… not just the test.

A lot of learners don’t fail their theory test because they’re bad drivers…

They fail because revision feels overwhelming 😩

As a driving instructor, I see so many people trying to cram endless questions the week before their test and it just adds pressure.

That’s why I actually like Drivewiser.

It breaks revision down into manageable chunks, tracks your progress and helps you focus on what you actually need to work on 👏

I also like that it uses official DVSA content and gives learners structure instead of random guessing.

And honestly… £4.99 as a one-off payment is pretty reasonable considering how much is included.

If your theory test is booked and you don’t know where to start revising, I’ll leave the link below 👇

Forward bay parking doesn’t need to feel rushed or complicated 👀🚗

One of the biggest mistakes learners make with this manoeuvre is turning too early, steering too quickly or forgetting their observations because they’re concentrating so hard on the parking itself.

This is why I always break it down into simple stages:
✔️ Positioning
✔️ Reference point
✔️ Slow control
✔️ Observations
✔️ Steering
✔️ Final checks

The more consistent your routine becomes, the calmer and easier bay parking feels 🤍

And remember… on your driving test the examiner is not expecting perfection. They’re looking for:
🚗 Safety
🚗 Control
🚗 Awareness
🚗 Good observations

You are allowed to adjust if needed.

Take your time, keep the car slow and keep checking around you 👀

Save this for your next lesson or driving test prep ✨

Sunday night check in for anyone with a driving test coming up soon 🤍

If your nerves are kicking in tonight… please know you are NOT alone.

So many learners get to this stage and suddenly start doubting themselves.
You replay mistakes from lessons.
You overthink every roundabout.
You convince yourself you’re not ready.

But nerves do not mean you’re going to fail your driving test.

Most people who pass were nervous too.

Remember… the driving test is not about being perfect.
It’s about being safe, aware and making sensible decisions.

Your examiner is not expecting a flawless drive.
They’re looking to see whether you can deal with real roads safely and calmly.

And honestly?
Some of the best drives happen when learners stop trying to “ace the test” and simply focus on driving safely one road at a time.

So tonight:
🤍 Stop panic scrolling
🤍 Stop convincing yourself you can’t do it
🤍 Get some rest
🤍 Trust the practice you’ve already done

You are probably more capable than you think.

If your driving test is coming up soon, comment your date below so everyone can support each other 👇🍀

And if you’ve already passed, leave your best advice for nervous learners in the comments 🤍

Learning to drive can feel lonely sometimes… especially when you’re waiting for a test, overthinking a bad lesson, or convincing yourself everyone else is progressing faster than you.

But trust me… SO many learners are feeling exactly the same right now.

So let’s make this comment section a supportive one 🤍

✨ Test booked? Tell us when.
✨ Still searching for a cancellation? Check in.
✨ Had a rough lesson? Let it out.
✨ Passed already? Give somebody some encouragement.

Sometimes hearing “same here” from another learner is exactly what people need.
