By staying left in this lane, I’m not just staying clear of the solid centre line — I’m maximising my view through that first right-hand bend. And look — I can already see that oncoming vehicle much earlier than if I’d drifted towards the middle.

Better position = better vision = more time to react. That’s what it’s all about.

Your lane position isn’t random — it’s your first line of defence

✅ Left-hand bends → Move towards the centre
Gives you the earliest possible view through the bend

✅ Right-hand bends → Stay over to the left
Keeps you clear of oncoming traffic that might cut the corner

✅ Three golden rules:
• Safety first — always move away from hazards
• See and be seen — place yourself where you can see further AND others can see you
• Space = safety — leave yourself an escape route
