2013 BMW 320d N47 in for non start and engine not turning over. We've removed the valve cover to check the timing chain and found the top chain snapped.
Gearbox had to be removed without the torque converter as the engine couldn't be turned over to get access to the bolts.
Engine removed and timing case cover removed and this is what we've found so far. The chain had snapped and locked up against the fuel pump gear also damaging the gear. Probably the worst one we've seen. 2 broken rocker arms too but new parts ordered and will be going back together soon

But are these pads made in Germany or China? 🤔

Another Class win and a P2 as well for the CB Autoservices prepared Citroen C1's at this year's annual Race of Remembrance on this amazing circuit in Anglesey.
We entered 4 cars this year and they all finished this gruelling 12 hour race. With the usual changing conditions and multi class structure with much faster cars to be aware of, this race had it all, sunshine, night driving and rain on Sunday to add to the fun. Great work by all the drivers and crew. Roll on 2025 when the 24 hour race returns to Silverstone😍🏁🏆🥇🥈

MINI diesel in for rattle from engine. As usual, we found the timing chain stretched so it's engine out and strip down to assess the damage.
