Fake Always Breaks! We’re supporting a campaign which aims to warn people about the dangers of buying cheaper car parts online or in person without validating their authenticity to save money. It’s being spearheaded by the Government’s Intellectual Property Office (IIP) who say that three in ten people openly admitted to intentionally buying fake car parts this year to save money.
The most common faked car parts include air bags, brake pads and tyres but any part can be copied and sold wrongly as a branded part. That’s why our trading standards team are working with local garages and drivers to warn them of the dangers.
Fake parts can often look the same as real ones and are hard to spot, here are some tips to help spot them: bit.ly/fakealwaysbreaks
