Product testing is key to our knowledge, every product we fit, dash cams, roof bars, to electrics on Towbars, we test everything personally for weeks sometimes months before we offer them as our recommendation, for the past 3 month we have been testing roof bars, in the range of:
Cheap (£55 EBay): can recommend them for budget friendly with a max rating of 40kg, would best suit a small roof box or roof basket.
Mid range (£120-£150) these are very good value bars, part of the summit premium range, will work with bike racks, roof boxes, roof baskets, does say works with roof tents but i personally wouldn’t recommend them for a roof tent due to there hollow bar design that flexed when put under test.
Top range (£200-£400) Thule are very well known in the industry as being one of the best if not the best when it comes to consumer level roof bars, we tested the wing bars and to say this will be our highest recommendation is an under statement, they performed extremely well, still look New, they are very much fit and forget, not to mention the options available on these are just second to non.
We also offer complete commercial roof rails and racks: (£300-1200) rhino accessories is another of our favourite brands when it comes to roof racks, simply put they work and do there job, from roof racks to rear ladders, they are always great addition and the price reflects the quality.
