Had Chris in the unit today for a full day of training and fair play to him, he got properly stuck in.
We took the car right from the start, getting it prepped properly before moving onto polishing and working out what the paint actually needed rather than just attacking it with a machine.
Got into wet sanding, scratch infills, different pads and compounds, coating prep and application and loads of little bits in between that you only really pick up from doing this every day.
Probably spent just as much time talking about when NOT to chase something as we did fixing stuff. Sometimes knowing when to leave paint alone is more important than knowing how to polish it.
That’s how I want to do training at CWD. Use a real car, find real problems and work through them.
Chris smashed it today. Proper good day in the unit.
