🦌 Deer 1 – Astra 0! 🦌

Unfortunately, this Vauxhall Astra came off second best after an encounter with a deer. 🫣

Rather than the customer having to source parts themselves, We sourced a good-quality second-hand replacement front end, saving the customer the cost of brand-new genuine parts.

We then supplied and fitted everything, bringing the Astra back together and getting it safely back on the road. 🔧

From sourcing the parts to carrying out the repairs, we can take care of the whole job.

✅ Quality used parts sourced
✅ Front-end components supplied
✅ Professional fitting
✅ Vehicle checked over before returning to the customer

Another repair completed by L&J AUTOS.

🔧 Vauxhall Corsa – Wet Belt Replacement

Another Vauxhall Corsa in with us at L&J AUTOS for a complete wet timing belt replacement.

During inspection, the existing belt was found to be showing significant deterioration, with the belt material breaking down and contaminating the engine oil and oil pick-up system.

As the photographs show, this is a clear example of why wet belt systems need to be maintained and replaced at the correct intervals. Once the belt material begins to deteriorate, debris can circulate through the lubrication system and potentially lead to restricted oil flow, loss of oil pressure and serious engine damage.

We carried out a complete strip-down and inspection, including:

✅ Removal of the old wet belt
✅ Inspection and cleaning of the oil pick-up system
✅ Removal of contaminated belt debris
✅ New wet belt kit fitted
✅ New engine oil and filter
✅ Thorough checks before completion

The vehicle is now back together and ready to return to the customer with the timing belt system and lubrication system properly inspected and addressed.

If your vehicle is fitted with a wet belt and you're unsure when it is due for replacement, don't leave it until problems occur. Get in touch with L&J AUTOS for advice and inspection.
