And just like that… an era ends 💙

After 11 years instructing , tomorrow Dave swaps the learner car for a brand-new adventure with the council.

Over 400 pupils passed their driving tests with him over the years, which is something to be bloody proud of. 🥹👏

There have been thousands of lessons, countless miles, plenty of laughs, probably even more swear words 😂 and a hell of a lot of people who are safer drivers because of him.

Today he finished exactly how he should — with one final first-attempt pass. 🥹

Whatever comes next, nobody can take away what you achieved over those 11 years.

End of an era. 💙

Good luck tomorrow, Dave. Go smash it.
And obviously… TAKE THE LEAP! 💙

🚦🚦 FIRST ATTEMPT PASS! 🚦🚦

A massive congratulations to Tia, who smashed her driving test first attempt today at Durham, picking up just 5 driver faults! 🚗💨👏

What a brilliant result — all that hard work has paid off and you can officially ditch those L plates! 🙌 Enjoy the freedom, Tia, and stay safe out there! 💙

And this one is a little extra special for us too… 🥹

Today was Dave’s final driving test with Optimus Drive before starting his brand-new job with the council tomorrow — and what better way to finish than with a first-attempt pass! 💙

Well done, Tia — and what a way for Dave to bow out! 🥹💙🚗

🚦🚦FIRST ATTEMPT PASS! 🚦🚦

A massive congratulations to Molly, who absolutely smashed her driving test FIRST ATTEMPT with just 2 driver faults! 👏🚗💨

And this one is extra special… 🩵

It was Courtney’s very first test as an Optimus Drive instructor — so she’s officially starting her instructor record with a first-attempt pass! 🥳🙌

1 test. 1 first-attempt pass.
No pressure for the next one, Courtney 😂👏

Fantastic result from both of you! Molly, enjoy that freedom and stay safe out there. 🩵

🚦🚦IT’S A PASS FOR JENNIFER!🚦🚦

Massive congratulations to Jennifer who passed her driving test today at Durham with myself, picking up just 2 driver faults! 👏

An absolutely brilliant result and very well deserved! 💙 And unlike most of my passes, there’ll be no car shopping required — she’s already got her little Fiat 500 waiting for her! 🚗😂

And yes… the tattie 🥔 is intentional. 😂

Enjoy your new-found freedom, Jennifer — it’s been a pleasure teaching you. Stay safe and enjoy every minute of it! 💙

🇬🇧 A VERY SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO NICK! 🇬🇧

Yesterday was quite a day for our Nick!

He started the day doing what he does best, helping Patryk achieve a FIRST ATTEMPT ZERO HERO in Durham ⭐🚦

Then it was Nick’s turn for a pretty huge achievement of his own…

Yesterday, Nick officially became a British citizen! 🇬🇧❤️

Nick has lived here since he was just 17 years old, and after years of visas, paperwork and spending an absolute bloody fortune along the way 😂, yesterday he finally attended his citizenship ceremony, with his other half — and fellow Optimus instructor — Courtney by his side. ❤️

And of course, there was only one acceptable way to celebrate becoming officially British…

Traditional fish and chips! 😂🐟🍟🇬🇧

From everyone at Optimus Drive, massive congratulations, Nick! We’re so happy for you. ❤️

ZERO HERO in the morning, British citizen by the afternoon. Now THAT’S a Monday! 🇬🇧⭐
