The custom Mini is now wearing its new colour 😎

Its been a while since we updated the page with progress of this build... this classic Mini has been through the full Novol for classic cars coating system and following hours and hours of laborious sanding is finally now in its new colour and we think it's perfect 👌

All the panels, fixtures and fittings will now be painted and the build can start! There's some seriously cool parts going into this build and it's definitely one to keep an eye on 🧐

Alfa Romeo Veloce Restoration 🍀 The Bonnet has been coated in Novol P-S Aluminium polyester, this product like the regular Novol P-S is perfect for final shaping and contouring whist having excellent anti-sinkage qualities but also with its Aluminium particle content is better suited to areas where the panel can be affected by engine heat.
This restoration project is moving along nicely and will soon see some colour... 😎

Alfa Romeo Veloce Restoration update 🍀

The engine bay, scuttle area and parcel shelf are now in the final primer stage. We've removed unwanted brackets and have gone for a smooth bay and clean look making a perfect home for the rebuilt engine.
The parcel shelf had to have some corrosion repairs and new steel let in and so has been primed to remove any minor surface issues before the paint stage.
Looking forward to getting the exterior into its Novol Polyester stage and blocked ready for final primer 😎 this one's not too far away from paint now... and what a beautiful colour the owner has chosen... follow us for progress and to see this beautiful classic wearing its new paint! #

Alfa Romeo Veloce Restoration 🍀

Following the Epoxy anti-corrosion primer the Alfas had all its panels fitted up and the laborious task of blocking carried out to achieve those gorgeous italien lines and arrow straight panels 😎

The body and panels will next be coated with an epoxy based isolator primer to protect any areas of bare steel exposed from the blocking process and provide a barrier and suitable substrate for the Novol P-S polyester spray filler. This product allows for final shaping and contouring aswell as having superb anti-sinkage properties.

The bonnet will have Novol P-S aluminium applied due to the heat generated by the engine and possible issues this can bring 👍 #

Then prepped, thoroughly degreased and into the Novol hybrid Epoxy primer 👌

🍀 Alfa Romeo in to have height adjustable suspension kit fitted. This kit moves the spring mounting position to allow the springs to operate correctly and maintains the desired linear travel in the spring.
If you are lowering or wanting to experiment with the ride height of your classic Alfa then this is an excellent option 👍 #
