We got right into the deep end of EV battery technology, vehicle coding and CAN bus systems, with exams to put our knowledge to the test. A challenging couple of days and a great reminder that in this industry, learning never stops!

We’ve got a great helping hand in the garage this week! My nephew is spending his university break with us at Adam Green Motors. He’s in his fourth year of Mechanical Engineering, so it’s a chance to put his studies into practice and see how engineering works in the real world.

A great couple of days for meeting people and sharing ideas across our trade.

I was pleased to attend an IMI meeting in Glasgow and meet the CEO of the Scottish Motor Trade Association. It was great to continue the conversation when he later visited Adam Green Motors in Duns.

I also travelled to York for a get-together with technicians and caught up with Diagnosing Dan. He’s a great guy, and it’s always good to spend time with people who care about the trade and are keen to learn and share their experience.

Whether it’s a formal meeting, a visit to the workshop, or a room full of technicians, these events remind me how valuable it is to stay connected with others in our industry. Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome. DiagnoseDan
