It's Friday and the sun is shining woohoo! ☀️☀️🔥🔥😃.
Very busy week, young & keen Ed slept in his beetle lastnight at Annandale services brrrr and got recovered to me this morning - faulty ancient elec ignition system removed ... New points, condenser and matching 3 ohm blue coil , timing set and on his way to Fife. Good emergency deed done!
New brake parts arrived for Mandy's T2 and various engine tuning work done.
Andrea's beetle rear drum finally off with my new big puller .. ooh err missus 🤣.
Peter in with his perfect Tomato Red GT beetle for new fuel gauge.
Craig's orange T2 just in for servicing and tune up etc.
Finally our own yellar fellar Minion out of hibernation for some sunshine driving this wknd. Beep Beep!!!

What a beauty!!!
Andrea and Kenny's amazing 65 beetle Bumble just in for full checkover, engine service , new fuel lines and filter, gear selection sorted and various other tasks.
Quick test drive yesterday and the little 1192cc engine did zero to 30mph in around 20 secs 🤣 - acc pedal almost on the floor - will sort this and .... woosh, off we go! 🔥🔥🤣

Couple of recent mobile jobs .
Stu's trike engine fitted in Lanark and various tasks carried out to get it up and running for him
Geoff's beetle in Dalkeith out of hibernation and "worrying" engine noise that put it off the road narrowed down to a hole in the heat riser pipe!

Phil's grey bus for sliding door mechanism repairs, full engine service, front brakes serviced, various electrical fixes and other tasks.
Duncan's blue van Trudy in for full engine service, sorting air leaks on carb idle circuit, leaky inlet manifold gasket and tune up

I'm slow on updates but with greasy hands and bleeding skint knuckles the work comes 1st!

Various T2s have been in this past while and a whole host of various jobs undertaken to ensure safety and reliability!

Mobile work in Edinburgh today, if anyone needs help at home with a rough running/ non starting T2 or beetle or some electrical gremlins i might have a spare hour or so for you.

Pics fitted to vans with standard nuts just for "seeing how they looked" - these are the same wheels for sale.
I'm never going to use them now
I have one correct wheel nut & collar left over from a previous set i had as a reference for finding new bolts.

Volksfling show Trade space booked. :)
Will be good to see many auld pals again and meet new folk too - do come over and say hello and have a yap or even discuss any issues or work you might need carried out on your Classic VW.

I will be bringing both new and used parts for sale for T2s and Beetles - mainly 68' onwards stuff plus some T25 new & used.
If anyone needs anything just shout - i might have it hidden away and can fetch to the show.

T2 Bay parts

Late 1600 CU code gearbox from a rotten 79 that I drove around the yard then removed engine and gbox.
97k on the clock.
I would fit it if I needed one but ideal for sending off to recon or take the chance and fit it as is.
All mounting bolts, clutch bracket, clutch spring etc present
