It’s December so it’s the month of festivities. While we are preparing for whatever celebrations we have let’s take some time to remember those whose Happy Christmas is marred by the loss of a loved one on the road.

Throughout the month Steel City Driver Training is raising money to support grieving families. Every lesson taken will add a pound to the pot which will be donated to the road safety charity roadpeacecharity. Any additional donations are also welcome and will be sent to the charity in January.

The Black Friday promotion starts at 17:30 today and runs until midnight tomorrow. Any lesson paid for in that time is paid for at a rate of £55. That’s £6.50 off.

Ts & Cs: Limited to 5 lessons per customer. Lessons must be taken by 31/01/2025. Payments by bank transfer only. Available to new and existing customers.

There are different types of automatic gearbox. Most these days are automated manual boxes but some cars still use a Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT box.

SERVICE UPDATE -

I will be out soon assessing the roads but due to the weather it may be necessary to cancel driving lessons today. Affected customers will be informed directly.

I’ve been doing a lot of work on the theory test lately. Yesterday was no exception. Adam has his theory test coming up soon and was struggling so we went to Starbucks and had coffee and multiple choice.

After passing this week Jade was delighted. Apparently her young daughter has been asking when she and mummy can go for a drive without needing daddy to supervise. Girly road trips are now on!

Jade passed, despite her nerves, at Worksop Driving Test Centre with just 2 driving faults. An excellent result which gives much needed independence after less than 35 hours of lessons.

It’s been a succession of laughs and giggles, with a little bit of driving thrown in for good measure. Congratulations Jade and do continue enjoying your driving.

A little camera shy but absolutely delighted, Stacey knocked it out of the park this morning with just 2 driving faults on her at . Stacey is delighted that she will finally be able to take her young son to school herself when term starts next week.

It’s been an absolute pleasure teaching you Stacey, the laughs we’ve shared have made the first lesson of the week massively enjoyable. Enjoy the freedom.
