This Sunday we’re celebrating the fabulous Fionnuala as she hits the BIG 6-0! 🥂🎂

Our amazing accountant, keeper of the books, solver of financial mysteries and the person who somehow manages to keep it all in order!

Fionnuala does so much for every part of the business and is one of those people who quietly keeps everything ticking along behind the scenes. We are immensely grateful for all that she does, for each and every one of us.

DID YOU KNOW? Some tyres are directional?

Not all tyres can be fitted any way round; and this one came in to us incorrectly fitted..

A directional tyre is designed to rotate in one specific direction. You’ll usually spot this from an arrow or the word “ROTATION” marked on the tyre sidewall.

The tread pattern is designed to work with the tyre rotating in that direction, helping to:
• Move water away from the tyre more effectively
• Improve grip on wet roads
• Reduce the risk of aquaplaning
• Optimise handling and braking performance

That means fitting a directional tyre the wrong way round can affect how the tread performs, particularly in wet conditions.

Two bolts. One tyre. One very unlucky driver!

This recent breakdown was certainly a case of one tyre having a bad day, and on the way to a wedding too 😱 the customer had managed to pick up two bolts in the same tyre!

Luckily, our breakdown team were on hand to get them sorted and get the customer safely back on the road.

That tyre has definitely had a rough day! This one came into AOne Tyres after suffering some serious damage… but there was some good news for our customer.

Thankfully the damage qualified for cover under the Point S warranty.

That meant one less unexpected expense and a very happy customer.

It’s a great example of why that little bit of extra protection can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.
