🎄Christmas and New Year Opening Times🎄

We will be operating until midday on Thursday 21st Dec, and we re-open again in the new year on Tuesday 2nd as normal.

We will use the time to deep clean the workshop as well as have plenty of down time with our families.

We had the pleasure of the guys from Upwell/Outwell Fire Service last month for some EV awareness training. A good evening which will hopefully aid them when attending these vehicles on the road.

If you own an alternative fuel vehicle, we have the tools and knowledge to look after it for you. 🔌

A Proud moment for me last week.
Having required the assistance of the fire brigade recently, I was able to repay the Downham Market Station slightly by providing some insight into Electric / Hybrid vehicles, and the hazards and risks they pose in the event of an accident.
We covered a few areas such as EV types, Appropriate Protective Equipment (PPE) and powering down vehicles safely.
I was very pleased to be asked to help and I hope they all went away with more EV knowledge than when they arrived.

A special thanks to our customer for the use of there immaculate Nissan Leaf.

Vehicle Technician/ MoT tester

Paradise Garage is a local team of technicians based in Downham Market who have built a reputation through knowledge, honesty and value for money.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in an exciting workshop where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:

Carry out service, maintenance, and repair to all types of cars and light commercials
Be confident in using current diagnostic tools, and have a good understanding and process to diagnose modern faults Carry out MOT tests confidently and consistently following DVSA guidelines.

qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will be someone passionate about mechanical/electrical engineering, having a willing to learn and work as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with piers and customers.

Level 3 or higher in vehicle repair and maintenance
DVSA MOT Tester
Full Driving Licence.

Looking ahead, and for the right candidate we also offer in house and classroom based training to further your skills provided by us and industry leading training centres across the country.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (42.5hrs a week)
Saturdays required 1 in 3 at overtime rate.
With the option of extra overtime

£28000 a year

Job Title: Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship

Paradise Garage is a local team of technicians based in Downham Market who have built a reputation through knowledge, honesty and value for money.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in an exciting workshop where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:
As a training vehicle technician, you will be working towards the maintenance, service, and repair of all makes and models of vehicles, including modern full EV’s (electric vehicles) and hybrids, as well as internal combustion engined vehicles.
You will also be trained in using independent and main dealer diagnostic tools to aid in fault finding modern problems including chassis, engine and entertainment related issues.

Desired skills/qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will be someone passionate about mechanical/electrical engineering, having a willing to learn and work as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with piers and customers.

GCSE grades 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent

Training will initially be provided by Cambridge Regional college or the College of West Anglia (Kings Lynn)
Class room based 1 day a week working towards a level 3 NVQ over 2-3 years.
Looking ahead, once the apprenticeship is completed, and for the right candidate we also offer in house and classroom based training to further your skills provided by us and industry leading training centres across the country.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
With the option of overtime
