After inspection, the cause was traced back to a severely blocked fuel filter that hadn't been replaced as part of regular servicing.

⛔️🔥Heater performance issue diagnosed🔥⛔️

Vehicle presented with poor/no cabin heat output.

Initial checks confirmed correct engine operating temperature, pointing away from thermostat concerns. Further inspection of the cooling system revealed restricted flow through the heater matrix.

Fault traced to a failed silicone desiccant bag (common on certain VW/Audi expansion tanks). The bag had ruptured, dispersing debris into the system and causing a blockage within the heater matrix, preventing proper coolant circulation.

🔧 Cooling system flushed
🔧 Heater matrix flow restored
🔧 System checked and operating as designed
System now performing correctly with full heat output restored. ✅
