They might look similar. They’re not interchangeable.

For the Volvo V40 (2012–2019), the rear wheel bearing specification depends on the vehicle system.

The Nakata NKF8797 supports Park Assist, while the NKF8535 uses a standard ABS wheel speed sensor. Fitting the wrong bearing can lead to fault codes, system errors and loss of Park Assist functionality.

A small visual difference can make a big difference at fitment. Check the sensor and application before installation.

🔧 Subaru ball joint looking like the wrong fit? Check the bore first.

A tight fit doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve got the wrong part.

On some Subaru models, rust and scale can build up inside the steering knuckle bore, particularly following road salt exposure. This can prevent the replacement ball joint from seating correctly.

The Nakata N84-80126 is a front lower ball joint covering a wide range of Subaru applications including Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Levorg, WRX and XV.
