Just arrived at South Norfolk Classics
1974 Triumph Stag Mk2 3.0 V8 Manual with Overdrive.
A truly outstanding car which has been loved very much all of its life and in particular by its last owner of 17 years.
The history file is huge and very comprehensive detailing most of the work and ongoing maintenance for the last 46 years.
The Stag has proved to be utterly reliable and has regularly covered the London to Brighton.
The Sienna Brown paintwork is first class with a beautiful deep shine, the panel work is lovely and straight and more importantly very solid.
The underside is extremely good and rust free with no unsightly welding.
The Tan interior and carpets are superb as is the Black Mohair roof with a clear single piece rear window.
The engine bay is very clean and nicely detailed.
The Alloy wheels are in perfect condition and fitted with an excellent set of matching tyres.
On the road the Stag has the most addictive “burbling “ V8 soundtrack and the engine runs really well with constant strong oil pressure and a steady temperature.
The slick 4 speed gearbox with overdrive is a joy to drive and the stag has creature comforts such as power steering and electric windows.
Unlike a lot of Mk2 Stags our car does not have chrome sill covers which is a pet hate of ours as not all but some are fitted with these to conceal poor sills.
A proper seventies four seater convertible in a proper seventies colour !
An era when cars were individual and interesting and all looked different and finished in colours that nobody would dare produce today but that is exactly what we love about it.
