SHW Performance vs the Wing Chun Special 🥋 — Same shape. Different standards.

Put these two Audi RS3 8V brake discs side by side and the differences start showing very quickly.

The Wing Chun Special came in at 13.9kg, while the SHW Performance disc weighed 12.1kg.

What’s interesting is the Chinese imported disc had:

* larger drill holes
* thinner internal vanes
* no aluminium hub/bell
* no proper countersinking on the minimum thickness marker
* poor finishing/machining around the hub

So even with less refinement and material removed in key areas, it still ended up heavier than the SHW disc.

That tells you straight away that not all brake discs are created equal.

Now just to be clear — not every Chinese-made brake disc is bad. There are good manufacturers out there. But with braking components, you need to be very careful about what you’re buying. Material quality, machining, design, finish, and testing all matter.

The SHW disc is an OE-quality, TUV-approved product, and that standard shows in the engineering and overall finish.

At the end of the day, two discs can look similar in photos, but be very different once they’re in your hands.

You get what you pay for. Buy cheap, buy twice.

First Mishimoto product from the range going out from Haz Motorsport — the X-Line Aluminium Radiator, MMRAD-E36-92X, for a BMW E36 325i.

With its 3-row, 2.25” aluminium core, the X-Line is built for cars that get driven hard — ideal for track use, drift builds and modified E36s where keeping temperatures under control matters.

Mishimoto have a seriously strong BMW range covering cooling, intercoolers, hoses, intakes and more, and we can now supply the range through Haz Motorsport.

This E36 looks like it’s going to see some proper use!
