💔RIP Orla 🐾

We had to say goodbye to our wonderful Orla last Friday - we'll miss her enormously but grateful for her 14 1/2 years and the wonderful memories we have.

If you follow us we're sure you'll have seen her, as she was a great poser and happy to pander to our requests for photos. She featured on our website, social media and brochures over the years, but mostly, and more importantly, she was the love of our lives 😭

We made sure she was comfortable and stress free until the end, and arranged that she could fall asleep at home, surrounded with lots of kisses and cuddles as she departed to the fields in the sky. 🌈

Thank you for all the licks, laughs and cuddles Orla, you were truly our Golden Princess xx

A trip to Colecraft this week to see progress on No.64 - Eos. The highly skilled team do a fantastic job with the steelwork 🎖

This will be another Serial Hybrid, our 3rd collaboration with Ortomarine 👌🏻 plus there is a 4th being built after.

Eos will be 64ft 5" long, and is our 2nd build for the owners Sue & Gary - bizarrely the first boat we built for them was the reverse of the number, being build No.46. 😊

Diesel engines don't have to be noisy. 🙉🔊
Combining a quality Beta Marine engine with a hospital silencer, and some sound deadening (as is standard in our builds), makes a huge difference to a quieter, and more pleasant, cruising experience. 😉

Shared Ownership Scheme Update.🔉📢📣

Built by us in 2024 Aqua Spirit is entering service in the Shared Ownership Scheme.

The Scheme is a great, cost effective way to get into boat ownership, and a perfect stepping stone into individual ownership.

They'll be 10 shares, 4 of which are already sold, providing 5 weeks on board per year.

Each share is £13,500.00, with a monthly running cost £175.00 per share for 2027.

After lots of feedback from previous folk interested, Aqua Narrowboats will now be managing the scheme. 👌🏼

Remember this is not time share, shared owners will own the freehold title in the boat. Owners can sell their share at any point in the future.

A great bonus of being back on the water here at our new home of Stenson Marina, is that our boat owners can pop in and see us.

It was lovely to catch up with Monika & Edwin and hear about their adventures this year on board No.58 Thistledown. This included cruising the vast Tidal Trent - and they sent us this great video of them coming out of Keadby Lock (near Scunthorpe) 👌🏻😲

They also kindly baked us some Swiss 'Spitzbueb' biscuits - meaning Rascal Biscuits - very similar to Jammy Dodgers, but these were much tastier and baked on board! 😋Thank you so much, they soon vanished! 😉
