Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone for Rachael Skeldon, who marks 20 years with Motus. 🎉🥳

Rachael joined the business in 2006 as a Sales Administrator for Truck Sales in Stoke before moving into Volkswagen Sales Administration when the dealership was introduced. She then spent more than a decade supporting the Volkswagen Sales & Service team before taking on a role with Motus Select, working across the Stoke, Hull and Derby sites. From there, Rachael moved into Accounts Administration with DAF Trucks Stoke and now plays a key role as our Central Services Administrator.

Working alongside Joanne and Grant within our HR and Health & Safety teams, Rachael regularly visits our businesses, supporting colleagues across the group and helping to keep everything running smoothly.

Reflecting on 20 years with Motus, Rachael said:

“What has kept me here for 20 years is definitely the people. I’ve worked with so many brilliant colleagues over the years and built some great friendships along the way. Every role I’ve had has given me the chance to learn something new, whether that’s working with different teams, supporting different parts of the business or taking on new challenges. No two days are ever quite the same, and I enjoy getting stuck in, keeping on my toes and continuing to learn. That’s what has made the journey so rewarding.”

We’re proud to share that Training 4 Tail Lifts in Telford is now an Institute of the Motor Industry approved training centre, marking a major step forward in supporting higher standards across the tail lift and mobile service engineering sector.

During the official visit from Michelle Barrett from the IMI, we also celebrated five Aftercare Response engineers achieving their Captek certification — a competency-based qualification that helps build greater confidence in safety and technical ability across the industry.

Today marks International Men’s Day 2025. This year’s theme highlights the importance of men’s wellbeing, raising awareness, and encouraging open conversations around mental health. For many men, asking for help isn’t always easy, especially in work environments where resilience and strength are often seen as expectations.

At Motus Vehicle Solutions, creating a workplace where men feel supported, respected, and able to speak openly matters. Mental health is as important as physical safety, and giving colleagues the confidence to reach out for support helps protect wellbeing across our business.

To support this, we are proud to be partnering with Andy’s Man Club to deliver dedicated sessions across our sites. These sessions offer a safe, confidential space, allowing colleagues to talk freely, listen without judgement, and access meaningful support if they need it.
