💨 Explain Simply: What is a DPF?

DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter 🚗

It's job is to capture and store soot produced by diesel engines before it leaves the exhaust.

👉 Less pollution
👉 Cleaner emissions
👉 Better for the environment 🌍

Over time, the filter fills with soot and needs to clean itself through a process called regeneration.

This usually happens during longer journeys when the exhaust gets hot enough 🔥

⚠️ Lots of short trips can prevent regeneration, which may lead to a blocked DPF and warning lights on the dashboard.

✅ VW Golf GTI with a Water Pump replacement due to leaking Coolant.
✅ Audi E-Tron GT with an Avon Tuning Stage 1 Remap.
✅ VW Amarok V6 showing multiple Warning Lights and losing power which was found to be a result of a faulty Wheel Speed Sensor blocking communication. Also fitted new Pagid UK & ROI Brake Pads.
✅ Audi S4 also leaking Coolant, which required a new Water Pump.
