Fancy starting a career in finance?

We're on the lookout for a Sales Ledger & Finance Apprentice to join the team at our Ashbourne Head Office.

This is an opportunity to earn while you learn. You'll work alongside our experienced finance team, pick up real skills in sales ledger, credit control and accounting and work towards a recognised finance qualification - all while getting paid!

No previous experience needed. If you've got GCSE Maths and English (grade 4/C or above), a genuine interest in numbers, and the right attitude, we'll teach you the rest.

Yesterday was a typical Monday at Alfreton.
Load fully checked. Every item on the list ticked off. "Yep. Yep. Got it."

One small problem.
The driver was having us on!

HGV DIRECT ARE AT THE RACES 🏎️

We're proud to announce that HGV Direct is now backing Jack Sherwood, a talented 20-year-old racing driver competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup.

And what a way to kick things off.

In his very first outing carrying our logo, Jack got straight on the podium.

Starting seventh, he fought his way forward, got knocked back to eighth after contact, then reeled the field back in to sn**ch third on the very last lap. A home-crowd podium in his debut season. You couldn't script it better.

Here's Jack take on the Donington weekender:

"After a long race of battling, it was nice to reward the team and get a trophy in front of a home crowd. The team worked hard to fine-tune the car, so it was nice for that work to pay off."

And on the partnership:

"I'm really proud to carry the HGV Direct logo on the car. Their support is vital to getting us onto the grid. It drives me to better myself and the team, to get the HGV Direct brand where it belongs, on the top step of the podium."

That's exactly the kind of drive and commitment that highlights Jack's potential.

Next stop Croft, where he'll be chasing another podium and eyeing that top step. We'll be cheering him on.

From race trucks to trade counters, branch tours to the odd bit of humour, it's been a brilliant ride, and we're just getting started.

A big thank you for every like, follow, share and comment. It means a lot to the team, the same team who groan every time a camera comes out, then get stuck in anyway. We couldn't do it without them, or you.

In rolled Chloe Dale like a whirlwind, and within about 20 seconds the place was upside down. Stock everywhere. Products all over the floor. Absolute carnage.
