Quick update from the weekend.. carls mi16 has left the building.. we got a healthy 193bhp at 6.5k after mapping session 2 weeks ago now time to run the engine in and then come back after a few hundred miles to push it further and see if we can get it over 200bhp .. on to the next project

X5 in for a gearbox fault... We have done a fluid change.. but also replaced all the seals above the valve body.. and what a pig it was.. few little issues afterwards but we got it sorted

Had a busy week with service work and our new apprentice started this Monday.. we have finally got back on the 309 and it's running! Sounded rough to start with but after a hour or so we got it singing

So we have here a problem job... Nissan cab star just stops.. after 30 seconds of running repeatedly.. turns out the dpf...

So we have here a problem job... Nissan cab star just stops.. after 30 seconds of running repeatedly.. turns out the dpf been full causes back pressure into engine overheating the exhaust valves causing them to stretch... all the exhaust tappets were tight! Let's just say it sounds easy to re shim it in situe..lol
