Heading off on holiday this August? Whether you're towing the caravan to Tenby or packing the car for Cornwall, give your motor a once-over before you load up ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ•๏ธ

Here's our pre-holiday checklist:

๐ŸŒก๏ธ COOLANT: Long drives, heavy loads and summer heat are hard work for your cooling system. Check levels and look for leaks before you go.

๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ OIL: Check the level and top up if needed. Towing puts extra strain on the engine.

๐Ÿ›ž TYRES: Tread, pressure and condition, and don't forget the caravan or trailer tyres. Adjust pressures for a fully loaded car.

๐Ÿ›‘ BRAKES: Extra weight means longer stopping distances. Any grinding or squealing, get them checked before you leave.

๐Ÿ’ก LIGHTS: All bulbs working, including the towing electrics. Carry spare bulbs, they're required by law in some European countries.

๐Ÿ”‹ BATTERY: Nothing ruins a holiday like a flat battery on a campsite. If it's been sluggish, test it now.

๐Ÿงผ SCREEN WASH AND WIPERS: Motorway miles mean bug-splattered windscreens. Top up and check the blades.
