Collected this Hyundai i10 last week for a clutch with a super low biting point, on the drive in I confirmed the clutch needed replacing as previously discussed with the customer.
Carried out a clutch replacement job including a gearbox oil service and adjustment of the pedal. After removing the old clutch, you can see by the colour of it that it had gotten hot at some point in its life!
Delivered the car back to the customer that evening!

Now Available - Logo air fresher!

After teaming up with Sole Flavours and getting fragrances tested, locking in the correct fragrance for the end result was key, and I'm proud to say they've smashed it out of the park and the quality of these products are second to none!

These will be offered as courtesy during a service in the workshop, but also available to be purchased on the online store with either Free Collection from the workshop. Or delivery!

Collected this BMW 1 Series the other week for a slipping clutch!
Pulled the gearbox and inspected everything, the flywheel has been extremely overheated and had a lot of high spots, along with excess play being a dual mass flywheel!
New flywheel, clutch/pressure plate and release bearing fitted along with a gearbox oil change and delivered back to the customer the same day!

This Audi Q3 came in recently for a Full Service and Haldex service.
During the service inspection stage I noticed that the rear discs were corroded and recommended changing, also the front pads were around 3/4 worn but the front discs were lipped. So we agreed to do discs and pads all around whilst it was in!
The haldex service, depending on what system you have, either the gen4 or gen5 system determines whether you have an external haldex oil filter to change or not. This one being the Gen5 meant that the pump had to be removed and the gauze cleaned out, as you can see it certainly needed doing!
Pump replaced and new fluid put in. The system was then bled, fluid level rechecked and then I carried out a relearn procedure for the system. Took for a test drive and all was good.
Delivered the car back to the customer the same evening !

This Mini Countryman was in the other week for a nice full service and MOT! During the service I'd noticed that the front discs had just worn down until they touched the sensor (an MOT failure) and the rear pads had worn down to their wear indicator (again also an MOT failure). The discs were fairly corroded and lipped so advised on those being replaced as well!
All done and taken for MOT, passed flying colours 😁

I'm very happy with this one!
Last month this MGB GT came to me as a non runner after being sat in a dry store barn for 8 years and wanting to be put on the road again.
The first step was to check inside the bores to make sure they looked okay , which they did. Then made sure the engine turned over by hand.
Next step was to get it cranking, with a piggy back battery on it, you'd get a slow crank or just a click. Pulled the starter and bench tested it to find it wasn't working as it should, wasn't getting thrown out and had dead spots. New starter ordered and fitted. Very strong crank and had a spark too! Next noticed the fuel pump was no longer working, so a new one of those fitted. Drained the 8 year old fuel out and filled it with fresh. Boom, it runs!
Next step was to free up, clean and get all the brakes moving as they should, a nice easy job thankfully!
Noticed a tapping when the engine was running, so went through and adjusted all of the valve clearances which quietened it all down and had it running smoother!
Noticed when the engine had gotten warm that it got a bit hesitant. Tested the spark and saw it was getting weaker the warmer it got. Fitted new plugs and a new coil, absolutely transformed the car. Runs spot on and went straight through MOT! Absolute pleasure to drive and it was an absolute pleasure to have this one come through the doors!

This Seat Leon came in for a Full Service last week.
Nice straight forward job this one, nothing extra spotted during the inspection so all the service items were replaced and the car was back with the customer!

This Ford Focus was in recently for a full inspection following the customer just purchasing the car. The car itself was very tidy, knowingly needing a passenger window motor which is currently on the way, I carried out the inspection and unfortunately found a broken road spring! Part ordered and fitted the same day. Collected, inspected, repaired and dropped off all in the same day!
