IMPORTANT DRIVING TEST UPDATE

From today (12 May 2026), only the learner taking the practical driving test can book, manage, change or swap their own test.

That means nobody else can legally do it for them:
• Not a driving instructor.
• Not a parent.
• Not a test finder app.
• Not someone offering to “find you a test”.

This is to resolve the issues with test availability, by stopping bots buying up tests in bulk and selling them on at inflated prices.

You will only be allowed to change your test twice. After that, it will need to be cancelled and rebooked (allow 10 working days as not to lose the fee).

Swapping tests with another learner is still possible, but it has to be done properly through DVSA by phone, and both learners need to be available at the same time.
