Donut Lab said its battery could deliver 400 Wh/kg.

That's a huge claim. And it's one critics have been asking to see independently tested since day one.

Now it has been.

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland weighed the cell, measured it, charged it and discharged it. The result?

409.3 Wh/kg.

That's slightly higher than Donut's original claim.

So, has one of the biggest questions surrounding the Donut Battery finally been answered? And what questions still remain?

The Met has expanded its fleet of high-powered Sur-Rons to 25 bikes, using their acceleration, agility and compact size to chase offenders through London's streets.

And there's a strange twist to it: some of the bikes police are now using are the same machines they're trying to stop.

Zero owners… your charging stops could be about to get a whole lot shorter. ⚡🏍️**

Zero Motorcycles is bringing DC fast charging to its Street and Dual Sport bikes, and the headline figure is seriously interesting.

20–80% in under 30 minutes.

Even better? Zero says it’s developing the system as a retrofit for Street and Dual Sport bikes from 2022 onwards.

That could be a big deal for existing owners, and for anyone thinking about making the switch to electric.

We found something rather odd while digging into the new company from the people behind CAKE.

Rebake registered a motorcycle design before ReBake Supply Co AB was even officially registered.

Then we looked at the design.

And if you know your CAKE bikes, you might recognise a few things.

Coincidence? Evolution? CAKE DNA carried into the next venture?

We don't know yet. But the filing gives us a fascinating early glimpse of what the Ytterborn family might be cooking up, and Rebake is already listed for EICMA 2026.

We’ve been watching and waiting for the Bonnell 805 RX to finally drop, and now it’s here.

56 hp. A claimed 805 Nm of rear-wheel torque. More than 80 mph (130 km/h). And just 99 kg (218 lb).

That’s a pretty wild set of numbers for an electric dirt bike. But does a midweight bike with heavyweight punch actually make sense when you get it into the dirt?
