Salary: £22 – £25 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
MJ Autos is seeking a qualified and experienced Panel Be**er / Panel Prep to join our busy automotive bodyshop. This role is ideal for a professional technician who consistently delivers high-quality repairs while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels to a high standard
Ensuring vehicles are completed in line with quality standards and agreed delivery times
Applying approved repair techniques and working to current industry standards
Maintaining excellent workshop housekeeping and organisation
Managing job-related administrative tasks efficiently
Skills, Experience & Qualifications (ESSENTIAL)
Recognised automotive body repair qualification (NVQ Level 3 / ATA or equivalent) – MUST
Proven experience as a Panel Be**er in an automotive bodyshop environment
Ability to repair and replace panels accurately and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Experience in all bodyshop repair disciplines as a multiskilled technician
Knowledge of Thatcham repair methods and insurance bodyshop techniques
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
Full UK/EU driving licence – REQUIRED
Additional Requirements
DBS check required
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate of £22 – £25 per hour
Flexible working arrangement (self-employed preferred)
Consistent workload in a professional and well-equipped bodyshop
