Congratulations to Zakia Khassal on passing her practical driving test at Crawley test centre on Saturday afternoon (22/08/26). It was a great pass with only three driver faults.
I was contacted by Zakia in early June enquiring about an intensive course ahead of a test she had booked at the end of July. Zakia had been taking lessons with another local instructor, but was unable to get the extra hours booked in she needed to get to test standard and didn’t want to delay the test that was booked.
After an initial assessment we agreed to do a 20 hour intensive course over five days in July leading up to her test. Unfortunately Zakia didn’t get the result she wanted on that test, but with some perseverance with the DVSA’s booking system she was able to find a test for less than a month later. This meant that we only needed to do a couple of refresher lessons between tests, with Zakia also going out for some private practice with her father. Thanks also to Raj Purba for the ground work he did before Zakia’s intensive course.
Well done Zakia, it was great to hear the result when the examiner told you that you had passed, along with the positive feedback you received. You came so close on your first attempt and then smashed it this time.
Enjoy the freedom your car now gives you and take care at university. When you take that first solo drive, remember what you have learnt and keep safe.
