1972 MG B GT

£3,750

Replacing the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 totalled over 500,000 cars.

This MG B was first registered on the 18th October 1972 in London, it has more recently spent some time in Cambridge.

The engine is running very nicely and sounds great with a stainless steel exhaust fitted. It pulls well and has a new 12V battery fitted.

The drivetrain is in good order and the car drives very nicely and handles well. The gears are direct, the clutch is good and there re no nasty noises, it also has good tyres all round.

The underside is very solid and not covered in thick underseal, the paintwork does polish up well but there are a number of areas that are a scabby and would benefit from improvement.

The interior is clean and tidy and there are no rips or tears.

This MG is very much a driving project and for someone looking for something to play with and spend some tinker time on. There’s plenty of room for improvement but on the whole it’s a good car, that drives well. We do have the current V5 and a small amount of history.

1964 Fiat 600

The Fiat 600 is a small, rear-engined city car and economy family car made by Fiat from 1955 to 1969 — offered as a two-door fastback sedan or four-door Multipla mini MPV body styles. The 600 is considered a pop icon of the Italian economic miracle, and the three-row seating Multipla, though diminutive and quirky looking, is seen as one of the first mass-produced minivans.

This 1964 Fiat 600 really is a stunning little car, the 4 cylinder water cooled engine is running very nicely and doesn’t miss a beat. It sounds good and pulls amazingly well.

The drivetrain is perfect, it drives lovely and handles well. It bombs along and is genuinely a pleasure to be behind the wheel of.

The bodywork is very solid with no evidence of corrosion to the underside, the paintwork is stunning and although not concours it is not far away. The interior has also been retrimmed and is as lovely as the rest of the car.

The show was a Marshall theme this year and we took along some of the fleet, here’s a quick video of the 3pm Marshall Parade.

Some of the steam guys teamed up to pull the train around on the trailer! I suspect there was plenty of Horse Power there to deal with that load.

We’re back from a fabulous weekend at the High Weald Steam Working Weekend I think everyone will agree the organisers did a tremendous job and of course having the Bluebell Railway running along the show ground is a bonus!

Here’s some pictures and a few videos to follow!

1930 Ford Model AA Tipper

The Ford Model AA was Ford’s heavy-duty truck produced from 1928 to 1932 as the successor to the Model TT. Sharing the iconic 3.3L inline-four engine with the Model A, it featured a stronger frame, a longer wheelbase, and heavier axles to support up to 1.5 tons of cargo

This Ford Model AA is up and running well, the engine is very sweet and it purrs away. There is no frost damage and all the correct parts are in place.

The drivetrain is in good order, the gears and clutch work as they should and it drives surprisingly well.

The bodywork is in good order, even the tipper body works. There is no corrosion to the tin work and the panels are very straight.

The interior was been retrimmed at some point, is it largely in good condition however “Mickey Mouse” has had a little go at the back rest.

The truck is UK road registered and the V5 is present.
