How did Olesinski optimise the hull design of the Princess X90?

Olesinski routinely use simulation technologies such as computational fluid dynamics
(CFD) as part of our design and optimisation process.

Olesinski generated hundreds of hull forms during the development of the X90 and
were able to perform simulations of the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic behaviour of
our designs in-house. This facilitates sophisticated parametric optimisation of hull
forms and improvements in on-board comfort.

Our Naval Architects validated these refinements in hull design using free running
model testing at Ocean Basin QinetiQ Haslar

The resultant efficiency, performance and speed met our highest expectations.
An independent report by Motor Boat & Yachting indicated that the Princess X90
offers a stable and comfortable ride, enhanced by fin stabilizers. The sea
trial indicated predictable, luxurious handling at a top speed of 26-27 knots.

Spotted in London!

Following launch and sea trials earlier this year, the Olesinski designed Princess X90 ‘superflybridge’ has been seen on the journey from the UK to France………on arrival the X90 will make a World Debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival this September……..

Our brief was for a yacht suited to sea
voyages and longer standby times on anchor.

The client requested an aft owners suite and forward majlis, 4 guest cabins, separate dining
room for 8, media room, gym area and a design that allows him to indulge his love of sea fishing.

We think we executed this brief flawlessly….. what do you think?
