Customer had a camper van conversion planned. Wisely decided to get the floorplan and side cavities treated first. For a 6yr old van there was more surface rust than expected. This one had rust converter paint after the initial prep and multi layer rust proofing. You can see in the treatment pics the different shades from the different layers during the process.

Cavity wax injection can be one of the most effective rust-prevention treatments for older cars. Cavity wax is sprayed into enclosed sections of the bodywork during our treatment

- Sills (rocker panels)
- Chassis box sections
- Wheel arch cavities

We also offer optional extra cavity wax treatments beyond the underside such as:

- Doors
- Tailgates and bonnets
- Structural pillars

The wax creeps into seams and overlaps, leaving a protective coating that repels moisture and oxygen—the two main ingredients needed for corrosion.

Many older vehicles have areas where factory corrosion protection has deteriorated. Wax creates a new barrier inside cavities that are difficult to inspect or paint.

We have special tools to insert into the cavities and provide good spray coverage. Cavity wax should be refreshed every 18-24mths but we do it as part of the annual warranty inspection helping to keep your cavities well protected.

Rust Converter Paint: Why It's Worth It for a Corroded Chassis
