Say's it all with my lot. Hahahahaha

Well thank f-ck for that, eh? 😂😂

‘Research demonstrates that kids inherit most of their intelligence from their mothers - not their fathers - because the key genes for cognitive ability sit on the x chromosome, and mums carry two of them. Long-term studies of around 13,000 young people showed that a mother’s iq remains the strongest predictor of a child’s intelligence, even after accounting for education, race, and income.’ - from

Some studies from a few years ago even found that there is often only an average of 15 IQ points difference between mum and her kids.

Obviously - I jest - take and despite the headline and the findings - there is so much more to our intelligence than genes. We are not just a jumble of predetermined genes of course!

Interestingly though, back to our role as mothers - research in 2023 again found that it was mother supportiveness and the bond a child has with their mother that predicts their intelligence later on. So - that’s both bases covered, I guess! Nature and nurture.

Positive news for those of us who had babies by giant bellends, stupid m-n, and violent abusers though 🫣 - especially those of us who brought those babies up to be the wonderful, smart and capable humans they became with our love and support… and our X chromosomes 😂
