Suspension and steering set-up all done all in house. This is where the lathe and milling machine come in super handy!

Setting the wheel base to meet the factory specs and also making sure everything is lined up as it should be. Fabricating mounting points and brackets for things like the steering rack.

Just awaiting the wheel's to arrive back from machining and we should have rolling chassis!

Caused us a delay in finishing this project due to the supply of replacements. Rare as rocking horse ** as they say 😅.

Speaking with the customer we decided to make some changes for practicality rather than authenticity. Running the coolant pipes away from the passengers legs will be a huge improvement.

The intended purpose for this car will be track aswell as road use

There will also be a cover to hide these pipes along the sill as you will see in the last photo ( more like tge original ). Further reducing the heat in the cockpit

Shimmed up to spec as they should be. The previous ball joints were fitted incorrectly which in time caused excessive wear on the components.

New 3 piece clutch kit fitted whilst we were there.

Well !!. All but a heat shield and the Vectra ST 200 is finally stripped. Not an easy task due to bolt corrosion etc but...

Well !!. All but a heat shield and the Vectra ST 200 is finally stripped. Not an easy task due to bolt corrosion etc but we got there in the end 😅

All stripped down to component form and going through the shot blasting and then powdercoating process. Gloss black here we come 💥.

The usual zinc coating for all fasteners and fixings.

In the meantime we have some underbody prep to be getting on with.
