As if our Night Owl experts weren’t already busy enough, we’ve been shipping them up and down the country to deliver the new Night Owl training too.

And honestly?

We love it.
They love it.
And the feedback so far has been brilliant.

There’s something really satisfying about walking into a workshop and seeing operators, technicians and fleet teams getting hands-on with the products they use every day.

Because confidence comes from knowing your equipment inside out.

Delivered at customer locations, our Night Owl training is built for the people who operate, service and maintain mast systems within their fleets. From deployment and parking procedures through to servicing, diagnostics and real-world fault finding, the sessions are practical, hands-on, and tailored to the way customers actually use their equipment.

There’s no danger of boring classroom waffle – just real operational understanding and practical training from the people who design, build and support the equipment.

There’s a reason why the Whelen Edge 9X is becoming the go-to choice across so many specialist vehicle builds.

Take these two Defender conversions from Commercial Auto Electrics - Kent LTD, for example… Different applications, different requirements, but the same choice of lightbar.

Why?

Because the Edge is built to do far more than simply provide warning lighting.

Fully configurable, it can be programmed to incorporate functions such as stop lights, tail lights, indicators, main beam, alley lights and take-downs - helping installers create clean, integrated vehicle solutions without compromising on performance.

Whether it's supporting emergency services, recovery operators or commercial fleets, the Edge is designed to adapt to the job at hand.

It’s one week on from NAPFM 2026, and yep - we’re still talking about it.

We always enjoy having the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and spend time with the people who make this industry what it is. Customers, manufacturers, converters, fleet representatives and long-standing friends - all under one roof, sharing ideas, catching up, and looking ahead.

And we can’t quite put our finger on why, but this year felt particularly brilliant.

Maybe it was the positive feedback on our new products. Perhaps it was the abundance of quality conversations that contribute towards moving the industry forward. Whatever the reason, I think you’ll all agree it was a fantastic couple of days.

To everyone who stopped by – thank you. We’ll see you all again soon!

Nice spot, and a perfect pic, from one of the Woodway team at the weekend…

West Midlands Police sporting one of our top-selling Whelen lightbars – right here in our hometown of Coventry. It’s always good to see the products we spend so much time talking about, testing, selling and supporting – out in the real world, doing their real job.

You can take the team out of work… but apparently you can’t stop us pointing out emergency vehicles wherever we go.

This week we've had an extra member of the Woodway team.

Sanjay joined us for his Year 12 work experience, spending time across almost every department - from Stores, Production and Installation, to Engineering, Sales and even a day with the team at NAPFM.

It wasn't a week of making tea or watching from the sidelines. He got properly stuck in, helping with real jobs across the business and getting a taste of what life in engineering and manufacturing is really like.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share their knowledge and make the week such a great experience.

Good luck with the rest of your studies, Sanjay!

Looking suspiciously like they’re about to announce a reunion tour, the Woodway team are gearing up for another great day at NAPFM.

Most days, you'll find them out on the road visiting customers, managing installation projects, and helping fleets find the right lighting solutions for their vehicles. But today, we've managed to get them all in one place.

Events like this are always a great reminder that while the products are important, it's the relationships behind them that really matter. We’ve got products you can count on, but more than that, is the people you can trust.

No album deal (yet), but they are available to talk all things Woodway if you’re here today. We’d love to see you!

Last week, more than 80 delegates joined Woodway and Whelen in Coventry for two days of technology, technical training, and industry discussion at the first Woodway & Whelen Conference.

Bringing together customers, installers, engineers, fleet representatives, emergency service professionals, and the teams from both Woodway and Whelen, the event provided a valuable opportunity to explore future technologies, develop technical knowledge, and discuss the challenges facing the emergency vehicle industry.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.

New day, new faces, new insight and new opportunities.

It’s Day 2 of the Woodway & Whelen Conference – bringing customers and colleagues together to share ideas, ask questions and learn more about the product products and technologies shaping the future of emergency vehicle lighting.

The air conditioning is doing its best, the conversations are doing even better, and we’ve had a great morning catching up both inside and outside the presentation rooms.

Now, did someone say lunchtime? 👀
