Mechanic responsibilities and duties
• Accurately diagnose faults in vehicles
• Carry out servicing to vehicle manufacturer’s specifications
• Replace cambelts
• Replace clutches
• Repairs on braking and suspension systems
• Order relevant vehicle parts
• Communicate with customers to understand and explain faults and repair options
• Complete job cards for each vehicle
Mechanic qualifications and skills
• Fully time served (3+years) mechanic, ideally with appropriate qualifications
• Valid driving licence
• Competent in vehicle diagnostics
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current MOT Tester’s licence desirable – training opportunities available if candidate is interested.
• Must be able to work well in a small team as well as being able to work unsupervised to a high standard
Our working hours are 8.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday, and one Saturday a month, 8.00am-12.00pm.
