Special order.
Our car is the only E-type Series I ordered new from the factory in Roman Purple, a colour associated with the roaring 1960s.
Recently, one of our followers reached out and shared more information about its early history. It was ordered new via an employee of racer and Jaguar specialist John Coombs, a Mr Messiter. The car is believed to have been uprated by Coombs in-period.
The car lived a large proportion of its life in New Zealand, having been exported by Mr Messiter. It is now part of the Jaguar Classic collection in Coventry, UK.
