Gabriel’s Seat Leon Cupra in for some subtle upgrades!
AP coilovers accompanied by Powerflex top mounts. Cupra R anti roll bar and drop links with Powerflex anti roll bar bushes.
Front of the dog bone replaced due to failed bush.
Full service and a new genuine Bosch maff sensor and some 15mm spacers on the rear👌

Laszlo’s lovely Seat Leon Cupra R came in for a rocker cover gasket……

Upon arrival he mentioned he had an engine light on and a code for the cam sensor 🧐
It’s not unknown but it’s not a common sensor to fail on these engines so I decided not to start the car again until I’d investigated the engine timing.
Timing checked and sure enough it’s a tooth out.
These are interference engines but usually you get away with a tooth and after getting the bore scope on the pistons it was clear nothing had touched down 🙏
Old kit removed and engine timed up, Full cam belt kit fitted with waterpump, set of fresh plugs and a rocker gasket and the dreaded cam code is no more!
Nothing seems to have failed on the old kit I’m pretty confident it was just fitted wrong almost 5 years. 🤦‍♂️

Sunday shift to get our good friend Adam’s car ready for this weekend as we’re fully booked this week.
Word on the street there’s a PB coming 😜

Unfortunately We will be closed friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of August.

We now have 2 cars competing in the VWDRC and moving forward I will need to be available to support the team for every event.

Good news for all you 1.8T racers though because if it’s on we will be there with plenty of spare parts and knowledge.
