Less than a week to the start of the 2026 GreenFleet Mythbusters EV Rally! We’ve been working hard, preparing to welcome the teams to System Edström HQ in Corby at the end of day four, and everything’s coming together. We’ll be welcoming the teams at the end of their day’s journey with food and refreshments and a bit of entertainment, as well as the chance to get to know how System Edström is the ideal conversion partner for electric vans.

According to the SMMT, registrations of electric vans made up a record 14.7% of the market in July. That’s a lot of vans but it’s still some way short of the target set out in the government’s zero emission vehicle mandate. There are quite a few reasons why take-up could be lagging but van racking doesn’t have to be one of them! We’ve made great progress in reducing weight and our smart racking designs make kitting out any electric van a doddle.

Picked up our Kia PV5 yesterday, with its fresh new modular wrap, in time for the EV Rally, when we’ll be hosting the teams at the end of day four. Thanks to our friends at Fleet Wraps for a fantastic job and to Rob Johnson for the design. We think it’s looking pretty snazzy! (Is that a word the cool kids are using these days?)

Anyhow, we can’t wait to welcome the EV Rally teams and our visitors on Thursday 10th September.

There’s just a month to go till we welcome the teams taking part in this year’s GREENFLEET EV Rally. Around 40 vehicles will head to our Corby headquarters as they finish day four of the event on Thursday 10th September.

The event begins in Exeter and takes in Solihull, Warrington and Newcastle upon Tyne before reaching us. The teams then head to Twickenham the following day to end the rally at the Everything Electric show. Along the way, the teams will be busting some of the myths that still surround electric vehicles and showing that electric is the way forward for fleets.

If you're in the Corby area next weekend, don't forget to get down to the Lakelands Hospice 25th Birthday Bazaar on Sunday! Lakelands does wonderful work for our local community, so this is a great chance to come along and support them in all they do. Corby's Lakelands Hospice is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special Summer Bazaar on Sunday 26th July and we're honoured to announce that we'll be there as one of the event's sponsors.

Lakelands does fab work supporting people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, COPD and advanced heart failure, and their families, so we're very proud to be one of their sponsors. Say hello to the newest member of the System Edström team, Antonio Ferritto. Antonio is our new supply chain manager, tasked with making sure that all parts and products are ordered promptly and in time to fulfil our customer orders. He's an integral part of the squad and brings stacks of experience to the position.
