🏍️ NEW SERVICE AT KRG MOTORCYCLES – ACCURATE MOTORCYCLE FRAME & CHASSIS ALIGNMENT MEASUREMENT 📐🔴

We’re pleased to introduce our latest workshop service at KRG Motorcycles — professional motorcycle frame and chassis alignment measurement using professional LASER ALIGNMENT MEASURING Instruments

Our new laser measuring equipment allows us to accurately check the motorcycle’s chassis geometry and identify alignment issues that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Using the MotoSmartLaser system we can carry out:

• 🔴 Motorcycle frame/chassis alignment measurement
• 🛞 Swingarm twist / deflection
• 📏 Rear wheel straight-ahead alignment and adjustment
• 📐 Wheel inclination/angle measurements
• 🔧 Swingarm and chassis reference measurements
• 🏍️ Front-end/fork alignment and geometry checks
• 🎯 Laser-based comparative measurements through the motorcycle’s chassis using the swingarm pivot pin as a datum point.
• 💥 Post-accident chassis checks — specifically recommended by the equipment manufacturer
• 🔍 Pre-purchase frame checks — particularly useful when buying previously damaged or repaired motorcycles
• 📝 Each chassis alignment check will be issued a full report with photos

The system we have invested in is certified to be used for for most insurance companies if they require a post accident report

📸 The Yamaha MT-10 pictured below was the first bike through our new setup.

The photos show the measuring equipment installed through the swingarm pivot (Datum) and wheel axles, along with the laser and digital angle equipment being used to establish and compare the motorcycle’s alignment.

This service could be particularly useful if:

• You’ve recently bought a used motorcycle and want its alignment checked
• The bike has previously been crashed or accident damaged
• You’re rebuilding a Cat N / Cat S or damaged-repairable motorcycle
• The bike has had front-end, fork, wheel or swingarm damage
• The motorcycle pulls, tracks strangely or doesn’t feel right
• Tyres are wearing unusually
• You want the rear wheel accurately aligned, rather than relying solely on the swingarm adjuster marks
• You’re considering buying a motorcycle and want additional reassurance about its chassis

A bike can look straight. Now we can measure whether it actually is, removing any guess work .

An Ohlins shock rebuild recently
I found quite a few issues with this shock once it was stripped , one of which the last person who rebuilt it hadn’t set the gas chamber floating piston in the right place so there wasn’t enough oil in the shock, the piston was bottoming out on the shock body .

That means at full extension the oil would have been under vacuum rather than pressure , it would have felt horrible on the bike, loads of cavitation and certainly would have caused damage to the shock eventually
